How Silence for Nonviolence Works:
At 1:42PM (your local time) read the quote and statement by following the link below, then take a minute of silence to reflect upon it. If you cannot do it at 1:42, please feel free to hold a moment for yourself when you can!

MISSION STATEMENT

Silence for Nonviolence spreads compassion and understanding through guided moments of silence focused on the interactions and relations between individuals and the people in their communities.

Our ground up approach is focused purely on each and every individual. Silence for Nonviolence is neither a political nor a religious organization. Therefore, we do not advocate or renounce any political or religious ideals or actions

On the same day and same time every week we will hold a moment of silence. Preceding this moment will be a quote or statement to inspire reflection about how our own thoughts and actions affect the violence around us. Sound too simple to work? Some of the best answers are the simplest.
